Wingedspur Farm Horsemanship Camp

Wingedspur Farm Horsemanship Camp is a specialized program for children ages 7 to 15. The Wingedspur Farm Staff have over 40 years of horse and coaching experience and is made up of knowledgeable and talented instructors that care and relate well to children. Our program goals are to teach the children the fundamentals of horses and develop riding and horsemanship techniques. Our facility includes an indoor arena, outside riding rings, and miles of trails. Our competent staff will ensure that every child is suited to a horse of his or her own riding level.

Daily programs consist of riding lessons, grooming, tacking up, lunging, braiding, class work, arts & crafts, ball games, campfires and much more. For the more advanced campers, it may include long lining, clipping,

how to take a horse’s temperature and the chance to ride all seats. Most importantly, the staff is dedicated to ensuring that each child has an incredible and rewarding camp experience. If a child would like to bring a disposable camera with their name on it, a counselor would be happy to take pictures of them doing their activities. Campers should bring a change of clothes, long pants, bug spray, sunscreen, a towel, and extra shoes for water games. Please no open-toed shoes or flip flops.
