We offer overnight and day programs to help the scouts earn their many different badges. Day programs consists of an instructor teaching grooming with the proper names and use of tools, parts of the saddle and bridle and how to put them on the horse the proper way to lead and turn your horse. Mounting and dismounting, steering and stopping. The hands on them consists of the child demonstrating all the that was learned on an hour trail ride. When finished a relaxing pine grove with picnic tables is available for lunch or snack. Overnight stays are available arriving at 5:00 pm you can choose from cabins or for the more rough at heart pitch your own tent are. A camp fire or grill is provided for your cooking needs. After supper the demo and hands on portion described in the ay section takes place in the indoor arena. When finished you can retire to the camp fire for smores, stories and songs. Next morning after breakfast is finished they will enjoy their hour trail ride. Field is available for games before leaving for home with a new experience. |
